Big News Revealed {Thrive @ Home}

I kinda left you hanging last week with my big news. I apologize!  I just didn’t sit down and write really know how to explain what was clear in my heart.

After 4 years, I am hanging up this blog. Rediscovering Domesticity is going away. Sort of.

I won’t be blogging here anymore. Some posts I will move elsewhere. Some posts I will save for myself. The plan is for this blog to leave cyberspace when it comes time to renew the domain name.

This wasn’t a quick decision. Well, not really. I’ve been wrestling with my purpose for blogging for about a year now. My time has been limited with 3 little ones. My priorities have been changing. I’ve been seeking God’s direction.

My biggest struggle has been with my walk with God.  I have let the blog and facebook and all that jazz come first. The times where I would share about faith here are the times when I really was seeking after Christ and working through faith issues. THOSE were my quiet times.

Too few and far between.

I have been distracted by everyday life and have had my eyes on myself and my own success more than on my Savior.

God is faithful. He answers His children – not always on our timeline though!

I felt the nudge towards faith-centered blogging a few months back. I set up my hub website, Audra Michelle Writes, to contain a faith-centered blog, uP. Excitement at the start quickly waned as the spinning plates all around me tottered.
I felt the nudge towards God’s gifts to us as I started using essential oils again and began my Naturally Well business selling them.

My time needed to be redeemed.  Plates set down.  Focus returned to Christ.

My dear friend, Rebekah, posed the question of why can I not refocus here on Rediscovering Domesticity?

Well, God has placed a new start on my heart. Fresh. Without distractions. Here, I would be distracted. Distracted by my past. Distracted by all the STUFF going on here.

Just in time for Easter, it is time to begin anew! New life! Fresh start!

So, I want to thank you all for your care and prayers over the years. I have enjoyed getting to know you all and sharing life together. I appreciate every person who has deemed my humble attempts at writing to be worthy of a read.  I hope and pray that some of you will remain and follow in my new endeavors.

Visit Audra Michelle Writes and sign up for the newsletter or follow the facebook page.  Visit Naturally Well and do the same.

Please pray for me as I strive to follow God’s leading in my life with blogging and with everything else!

I’d love for you to check out some of my dear friends’ blogs to fill any gaps!

Never fear – the Thrive @ Home linkup will remain! I will take that with me to the uP blog.

Speaking of Thrive @ Home, it’s time to link up!

Big Announcement {Thrive @ Home}

I have a big announcement to make.

You may have seen me hinting at it on my facebook page.

I thought it might take some time until I could announce – or until I knew if there was anything TO announce.

Well, God has a funny way of making things incredibly clear sometimes. Often sooner than expected!

So, I have an announcement to make.

But…. I’m not making it here.

I want to have the Thrive @ Home link-up open right on time.

I also want to take my time with this announcement. It’s not something to rush.

So, you’ll just have to come back in a day or so.

:)

Just a note – this is VERY poor carseat usage all around. I didn’t know any better. When you know better, you do better. Please no bulky coats in a carseat and no after market products in the seat.

Hubby and  I are house shopping.

Well, land and house plan shopping.

Big problem – our STUFF.

Homemade Wart Salve {Thrive @ Home}

Ages ago, I blogged about my nasty foot. The foot became 2 feet with my last pregnancy. Nasty! I am sooo not a fan of these plantar warts.

The Hubs and Buggy each had a bout with a common wart on their finger. After watching how painful the traditional acid treatments were for the . . . → Read More: Homemade Wart Salve {Thrive @ Home}

Swing Low, Sweet Chariot

The room is dark, the boys snuggled in. A soft nightlight glows in the corner sending soft shadows across the room.

Prayers are said. Lullabies begin.
