So, I am officially a VoiceBoks-aholic! I have met so many amazing bloggers there and have learned a ton! It truly is a community – everyone helping everyone. You should check it out – tell them I sent you!
Anywho – the vB gang has been crafting get-to-know-ya posts Alphabet style. Here’s my spin!
A – Auntie – I am an auntie to one sweet baby girl that I am longing to see again! I am excited to have more nieces and nephews as the years go by!
B – Boys – It seems that’s all Hubby and I make! I have 3 little boys under four. Sure, my hands are full, but my heart is exploding!
C – Christian – I am unashamedly a Jesus worshipper, a born-again Christian, an evangelical Christian, a follower of Christ. Well, almost always unashamedly. I certainly have my Peter moments where I deny Christ. I am human!
D – Dancing – I love dancing! Not night-club-type dancing. That’s never been my thang. I do imagine that I am a ballerina. I danced for 8 years as a child and had to quit just weeks before I was to go en pointe. Every couple years, I dream of buying a pair of toe shoes. The Hubs just got me a Zumba game for our kinect! I must say though, I blush when I dance and he’s around!
E – Elephants – I am amazed by elephants. I love photographing them and learning about them.
F – French – I like French! I took French from 7th grade through 11th grade (took Japanese my senior year). I played (play?) French horn.
G – Girlie – Um…. no. I’m not very “girlie.” I grew up climbing trees and making mud pies. I’ve had more male friends than female friends. I am not un-feminine, just not a girlie girl.
H -Home – We have moved a bunch. We’ve been married 12 years and have lived in 4 states, owned 4 homes, plus have lived in a few rentals. We’ve been in our current home for just about 4 years. While I still don’t feel like we are MOVED IN yet, this feels like home finally.
I -Itchy – I had PUPPS with my first pregnancy. Actually, it started very mildly 2 days before my water broke (4 weeks early). It lasted 4 weeks. 4 weeks of misery. Ice packs were the only thing that dulled the itch.
J – Joy – People say I smile too much. I can’t help it. I won’t say that I am always joyful, but I am joyful quite often! That is a testimony to the One who is within and not to my own credit!
K – Kelly green – It’s not a favorite color. At all. I just wonder how it got that name!
L – Laughter – I desire to fill my home with love and laughter. Even though, I must confess, I can be an angry mommy.
M – Music – I am a musician. My main instrument is French horn. I sing. I also play trumpet and dabble at many other instruments: flute, guitar, piano. I even played bari sax in our university’s concert band one semester. I had to sit on a book to keep from hitting the sax on the floor.
N – Nursing – I have been breastfeeding for a long time. Since October of 2010, I have nursed 15 months with 4 months off after until I delivered Scrunch who I nursed 14 months with 5 months off until I delivered Fletch who has been nursing for 7 months now. That makes 36 months so far. I had a guest poster who nursed for 100 months! (FWIW – I am not anti-formula. Buggy had quite a bit of formula and it saved his life.)
O – Opportunity – I am a little overwhelmed right now with all sorts of opportunities that have presented themselves lately! I just started a part time job plus have had several interesting things happen in regards to this bloggeroonie (wow – it’s late and I’m punchy!) I’ll tell y’all more about all these later!
P – Pooch – We have a furbaby! She lives in our shower. You can see her picture in my sidebar. She’s about 12 years old and still going strong!
Q – Quinoa – I have never tried it and just this week learned how to pronounce it! I’m not opposed to it – just sheltered.
R - REALLY Old – Ok, I know I’m not actually old. I’m still getting used to the number 35. It’s a whole new bracket on surveys and such. It’s an adjustment!
S – Short. I am short. I would love to say that I am five feet tall, but that would be a lie. I am 4’10 3/4″ tall. I once taught a KINDERGARTNER who was taller!
T – Tempted – I get cravings just as bad, if not worse, when I am breastfeeding than when I am pregnant. I am tempted to have another soft pretzel right now. I would also love raspberry cheesecake. And chocolate. Popcorn would be good too. With a tall glass of iced tea.
U – Undergrad – I have a Bachelors of Science in Music Education. That’s where I met my hubby! I have since taken one course towards a masters – a guitar pedagogy class.
V – Vulnerable – I don’t like to feel vulnerable. I keep putting up walls to protect myself. I struggle with being fearful about people seeing me as having faults. Of not being strong enough.
W – Worship – Oh – how I LOVE to worship. Especially with worship music (though our acts are to be worshipful – even scrubbing toilets. I’m not quite there yet). My current favorite song is Forever Reigns. I’ve been on worship teams at churches. It’s been awhile. I miss it!
X – eXclamation points – I use these. A lot. When I am writing. I guess it goes back to letter J!
Y – Young – I may actually BE old, however, I look INCREDIBLY young. I mean, I get kids menus for 12 and under still and that’s when my kids AREN’T with me. I remember several occasions where I was thought to be The Hubs’s daughter. I was carded to get in to see Jurassic Park ages ago. I was in college. It was PG-13. People keep saying I’ll be thankful when I’m older. I just wish it wasn’t so hard to be taken seriously. I’ve been fighting that battle my whole life.
Z – Zoo – My sister-in-law is a zookeeper! How cool is that??? She has helped to birth several giraffes!
So, that’s me! Please let me know in the comments if you make a list of your own – I’d LOVE to come by and see it!

How fun!
I had PUPPS with my first too! (Not that I'm excited about that, it's just a funny coincidence). It makes me itchy just thinking about it. Lol! And? I'm all about letter T right now too.
I'm so glad you commented on my ABCs of Me on Pea of Sweetness because I wanted to come over and read yours! I'm so glad I did! You're right, we have a lot in common – except I'm kind of tall. haha I studied French for years as well and know how to play the French Horn, but it wasn't my main instrument (flute is). Seriously, our youngest is 27 months, and my cravings while breastfeeding him are still way beyond that of pregnancy cravings! haha I most definitely relate to that!! So awesome to get to "know" you better as well!
I'm now following you on all your Social Media sites as well!

Funny post! I, too, am a Christian, love exclamation points, am filled with joy aaannnnnnddddddddd won't zumba in front of the husband!
Our son sets off for college in a few weeks, to study piano performance and pedagogy — and I am terribly, wonderfully, thoroughly thrilled that you know what pedagogy is and how it's spelled. FINALLY, someone who can understand his major without needing a dictionary! Blessings!

Love it! I really need to sit down and write my own ABC's of me post! I'm inspired. Thanks!

We too make boys and have 3
Loved getting to learn more about you! Thanks so much for sharing!
Great getting to know you better! And you do look really young…I was thinking, "she talks about her 3 sons but not her daughter!" Lol lucky you! I will be 36 next month, and still having a hard time with 35. Think I'll start going backwards.
I love these ABC's! It's so nice to find out more about everyone:) I'm an old-retired ballerina, and haven't taken class in sooo long. I still think about going back…maybe
I've never tried Quinoa either, and heard the correct pronunciation only last week…funny! I think it was on the Food Network or something.
That was fun to read. I'm having trouble completing mine right now.
